Information in forms

A newsletter request includes your email address, consent, publication, and the page you signed up from. Contact messages include your name, email, subject, and message. Source submissions include your name, email, title, message, and an HTTPS source URL. Each form records consent; the service also receives the source page and submission time. Send only information you want considered for that purpose.

How it is used

Newsletter details are submitted to process your subscription and send requested emails. Contact and submission details are submitted for review and reply; they do not subscribe you to a newsletter. The site’s hosting, form-processing, and email services may process the information needed to provide those functions and protect them from abuse.

Browsing & external links

These pages do not set advertising cookies or include third-party analytics. Hosting and security services may record technical request information, such as an IP address and request time. Linked websites have their own privacy practices. Interactive tools on these pages calculate or filter in your browser; their inputs are not submitted by those tools.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter you receive to stop those emails. For a request about access, correction, or deletion of submitted information, use the contact form and identify the publication and email address involved. Avoid including sensitive records in the request.

Keep sensitive information out

Do not submit passwords, private keys, confidential client data, incident evidence containing personal data, or material you lack permission to share. Public submissions are not a confidential reporting channel.
